Experience
In 1978 I joined my first professional signed band ‘Eater’ one of the original New wave bands. Since then I have been a band member with many bands some of which enjoyed international chart success, such as ‘Classix Nouveaux’ and ‘A Flock of Seagulls’. I have had extensive worldwide Touring and recording experience both as a band member and session musician and have been signed to a number of different record companies.
In 1997, I undertook a BMus degree in Popular Music Performance at The London College of Music. Since 2000, I have worked as a guitar/bass/ukulele/drum/ensemble and music technology teacher/trainer for Barnet, Brent, Haringey and Camden Local Authority Music Services, and also taught students on a one to one basis .

I currently work for Barnet Educational Arts Trust as a guitar/bass and drum teacher and run the intermediate and senior rock and pop groups on a Saturday morning in the East Barnet music centre, at East Barnet School. All these roles require in depth planning and students learn their chosen instrument together with the essential skill of performance. Indeed many students have gone onto higher education/university to further their studies in Music.
I have always kept my skill levels sharp by playing a diverse range of styles. I am currently playing regularly in the Mod/Ska band ‘The Iconics’.
